Good!! I watched a bit of Larry King discussing Palin's nomination, and that was really bad as well. What was CNNs new logan- No Bias, No Bull-?!?!? The conduct of the media for the last few days has been beneath contempt.

While I really do not know what Ms. Brown's political affiliation is, she is married to Dan Senor.....yes, I know Carville is married to Matalin....but, just saying.
I thought that was quite a good question about experience, and I have yet to hear a good answer.
But it doesn't matter, because I am voting for President, not VP. If there is one thing Sarah Palin's pick has done, it's taken away from the real issues of the day like the economy and the war in Iraq.

Good for him, but it might've been nice if he had gone on and told Larry off.

CNN has sunken low on this one, they must have sent Canbell out to do the dirty work. They must be changing into the CNBC replacement.

Maybe Ms. Brown could have done a better job of containing her levity, but then so did I. While watching the interview, I had the nervous laughter you get when you watch someone humiliating themselves in public. The spokesman looked incompetent and ridiculous trying to avoid answering very specific questions that most Americans are asking.
Until the McCain team pulls itself together and is prepared to do some Straight Talk again, I agree they should stay away from interviews.

MaCain ran from facing the truth. He, like his pundit, does not have the answer to Campbell's question. Larry K was going to ask him the same question. It was in the best interest of Macain to run and hide rather than facing tough LK question about his VP he knows nothing about

I think McCain did the right thing. Why put yourself in a hostile environment when they don't really want to know the answer they simply want to make there point.
They are dishonest, mean spirited Americans.

McCain did the right thing. CNN is a left wing network now. I'm tired of watching it.

Bob Barr for President! John McCain is weak and unfit to lead. Time for real leadership.

While I'd love to have seen McCain go on the air and address every question in a strong manner, I think he makes a powerful statement by telling CNN that he won't appear.
However, on this topic, could someone please just ask how much foreign policy experience Bill Clinton had when he took office? He was a governor, not a member of congress or VP prior to being president.

Thank you Campbell Brown and CNN. I didn't think anyone hired true journalists anymore. I'm sick of hearing the talking points, point and counter point and spin. I'm really bad at paying attention to the names of the talking heads on cable news but I will pay attention to Campbell Brown.

Wow. McCain couldn't even handle softie Larry King? How does he plan to handle the criticism anyone holding the office of President is bound to attract?

Iff McSame runs from Larry King, how will he stand up to Putin or Km Jong Il or Iran's Ahmedjammalammadingdong?

re: 12 JTL
Yeah, his powerful statement is as follows:
"WWAAAHHHHH!!!!"
Very presidential.

So as McCain bails from a network because of a tougher line of questioning, Barack Obama goes on Bill O'Reilly's show on a network that has been empirically hostile towards Obama, his campaign and his family.
McCain isn't taking the high road just the high horse.

So much for Straight Talk!

Campbell asks a question, gets spin, asks again to get the question answered, is again given a non-answer/redirect ... so Campbell sticks it to the little wiener so she can get a damn answer to her question, and John McCain throws a fit.
Pathetic!

re: 12 JTL

With respect to Bill Clinton, at the very least he was aRhodes scolar, which meant that he lived in the Uk for a year, and studied in a very international environment.
Palin, on the other hand only got her passport in the last two years, and has only made one trip outside North America - to Camp Aridjan in Kuwait, which is a little part of Texas in the Golf.

What a spin from CNN........the McCain/ Palin camp was more upset about the snide remarks she made about Sarah and her daughter that they won't show on the clip on CNN. She asked in a snippy tone what kind of a mother subjects her daughter ...Blah Blah how can she be a good mother.. The foreign policy exp. was at the end of the tape..They only show half the clip and now CNN is well I think it is misleading the public. You have to see all of it before they edit it. What the hell is wrong with the media these days .. I can't even watch anymore.

#22  Grimby  9/3/2008 5:30:12 AM  [ comment reply quote ]    report    top
misleading the public and they owe Sarah and her family an apology.

I can't stand watching CNN. And if that lousy Campbell Brown is on forget it, sound down if nothing else. Wish I had a choice in national news where I am. I only turn them on to watch the convention and once it is over, CNN is out of my house.

Who are you people? How can you continue to reward the cult-based media? Where were year over the past 2o+ years as Bill & Hillary "raised" their daughter. At least Sarah Palin has a husband that will help raise their children as opposed to satisfying his own political ambitions first.
Kudos to McCain for standing up to CNN and kudos to women everywhere that are standing up and fighting for Sarah Palin.
And Scandal? Since when does the American public believe that a pregnant 17-year old is scandalous? Please.... wake up and get off the Kool-Aid.

You know...liberals have this nasty spirit about them. They spew hate. The main stream media is so bias. I only listen to them so I can get the real truth. Who ever they like, I won't like. So what ever they say I always question whether its the truth ,am certain it's not the truth. I think the MSM will shoot themselves in the foot this time around. MSM we have your number!!!!!!!

To those of you saying McCain did the right thing by running away from these tough issues and not answering them: is that what he would do as president? If someone disagrees with him, will he just run away from them and hide and cry for him mommy? It's disgraceful that he thinks the media shouldn't be asking questions. That's what got us into our mess in Iraq, the media did not question Bush. That's the point of the media, people, is to ask tough questions. The point of politicians is to have well thought out answers and policy plans. Crying "sexist" when you ask questions about experience is just plain ridiculous and childish. And it actually undermines women's right movements. McCain made a rash decision lacking in judgement. It's a foreshadowing of the types of decisions he would make as president, which is why anyone would be insane to vote for these two.

I cant believe you liberal wienies are actually defending CNN. First you accuse the republicans of bashing Obama's family, and when CNN goes way beyond bashing the Palin family, you defend it.

#28  Karl  9/3/2008 7:13:07 PM  [ comment reply quote ]    report    top
CNN is a one sided news oganization that is so liberal that I no longer can watch. Thank God for Fox News the fair and balanced fine news organization.
Can't wait for Gov. Palin to speak tonight, it should be a good one! Hoping after tonight the far left media backs off, all of them......

Cambell Brown's question would be legimate had Brown or CNN once in the past 2 years asked Barack Obama to explain what his qualifications are to be Commander in Chief. Since they have not, one can only conclude that they do not consider experience neccessary for being Commander in Chief. Cambell Brown's rude demands that she be told of Sarah Palin's qualification after being the nominee for only 5 days only serves to emphaszes Brown's own shortcomings as a journalist.

Cambell Brown, I was embarrassed for you. You gives us woman such a bad name. I'm with McCain on this one.... forget CNN. At least FOX is objective.
