Obama spreads debunked lies about people shouting "kill him" at Palin rallies.
at some of the rallies that your running mate was holding... were shouting when my name came up, things like "terrorist" and "kill him", and that your running mate didn't mention, didn't stop, didn't say "hold on a second, that's kind of out of line"
Obama knows full well that "terrorist" and such was said after Ayers' name was mentioned - and for good reason.
Obama would have been briefed on the Secret Service investigation findings that no videos exist, no audio tapes exist, and no witnesses exist to corroborate the "kill him" allegations by 2 liberal reporters.
Kill Him Number One - Clearwater, Florida The Clearwater "kill him" allegation was made by Keith Olbermann hack, Dana Milbank.
The Secret Service listened to tapes of this event and someone shouted "Tell Him" after Palin mentioned Bill Ayers.
Aren't real reporters supposed to carry tape recorders, or video cameras, or ask witnesses?
Kill Him Number Two - Scranton, PA The Scranton "kill him" allegation was made by a reporter from the liberal hometown newspaper of Joe Biden, the Scranton Times-Tribune.
The Secret Service investigated and their was no video evidence, no audio evidence, and no witness testimony. They declared the charge 'unfounded'.
Obama should apologize to McCain and Palin for this vicious smear
The MSM should issue retractions - Washington Post, ABC, Times-Tribune, others
Update 10/17/2008 10:34 AM From the man who started this by making up the first "kill him" quote, Dana Milbank in the Washington Post 10/16/2008
Private Killjoy, Reporting for Duty: Semi-serious question here. How did you feel when Sen. Obama specifically quoted the comments from your story from the Palin rally?
Dana Milbank:
I had to shotgun an entire Bud when I heard that one!
Semi-serious answer: There was actually a second instance of the same "kill him!" line being uttered at a Palin rally in Scranton Tuesday, according to the local paper. I don't think the candidates can be blamed for any one of these nutcases (nor do I think they're serious threats worthy of investigation by the Secret Service) but they do bear responsibility for the overall tenor of the rallies, which has on many occasions been grotesque.
Arlington, Va.: The Secret Service has now labeled the "kill him" report as unfounded. Why isn't The Post giving this report as much coverage as the original false report received?
Dana Milbank:
Glad you asked, because I saw this earlier. This is actually about the incident in Scranton, not the one in Clearwater, Fla, that I wrote about here. [He doesn't mention that he lied and the man is on tape saying "tell him"]
I wasn't at the Scranton event, but I have to say the Secret Service is in dangerous territory here. In cooperation with the Palin campaign, they've started preventing reporters from leaving the press section to interview people in the crowd. This is a serious violation of their duty -- protecting the protectee -- and gets into assisting with the political aspirations of the candidate. It also often makes it impossible for reporters to get into the crowd to question the people who say vulgar things. So they prevent reporters from getting near the people doing the shouting, then claim it's unfounded because the reporters can't get close enough to identify the person.
So Milbank blames the Secret Service for him not upholding journalistic standards. Listen to the tape. This man should be fired and shunned.
